The SwiftConsent extension processes your cookie preferences locally. Visiting this website involves a separate hosting service, explained below.

This notice covers swiftconsent.dev and the SwiftConsent 0.2.0 development extension. See the legal notice for full operator details.
The extension
- Your preferences and per-site pause settings are stored in your browser’s local extension storage. There is no SwiftConsent account or cloud synchronisation.
- The extension reads supported consent dialogs and applies your selected mode on your device. It does not automatically send your browsing activity, page content or preferences to us. Its runtime has no telemetry, analytics or remote rule requests. Optional website reports, available from version 0.3.0, are described below.
- Optional local history is off by default. If enabled, it stores at most 100 entries containing hostnames and technical results. It does not store full URLs, cookie values or page content. You can clear it; turning history off deletes it.
- You can change settings, pause automation or uninstall the extension. These actions do not undo decisions already saved by websites. Websites remain responsible for their own processing.
Optional website reports
From extension version 0.3.0, choosing “Report” sends only the displayed public hostname (for example, example.com) to SwiftConsent at swiftconsent.dev. It does not send a page path, search query, fragment, cookie, page content, local history, account ID or preferences. Reporting is optional and does not affect cookie automation.
We store the hostname, first-received time and review status in a private Vercel store in Frankfurt to investigate unsupported banners. Repeated reports of the same hostname share one entry. Only the maintainer can read the list; there is no public list endpoint. We keep entries while needed to investigate and maintain website support.
Pending reports and local receipts are stored separately from browsing history on your device. A pending report is sent again only when you choose Retry. “Received for review” requires a server confirmation. Clearing local receipts or uninstalling does not remove a report already received by SwiftConsent. For questions or removal requests, contact flo@klicktgut.com with the hostname; the list does not identify individual reporters.
The reporting request also reaches Vercel’s hosting infrastructure, which processes technical request information as described below. Our report records do not store IP addresses or browser identifiers.
Website hosting
Vercel hosts and delivers this website. Visiting it sends technical request information, such as your IP address, requested URL, browser information and request time, to Vercel’s infrastructure. It is used to deliver the site, maintain reliability and protect against abuse. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing a secure website under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Vercel acts as our hosting processor. Infrastructure and subprocessors may process information outside the EEA, including in the United States, subject to the safeguards in Vercel’s Data Processing Addendum. See also Vercel’s Privacy Notice. Technical records are retained only as needed for delivery, security and applicable legal obligations; retention varies by the hosting service involved.
Website analytics
This website uses Vercel Web Analytics to measure aggregate visits. The extension itself has no analytics.
Vercel describes its analytics as cookie-free and uses a request-derived hash for visitor counting, discarded after 24 hours. Reports may include the page path, referrer, approximate location, device and browser. We do not use advertising profiles, session recordings or custom events containing personal information.
We use these aggregate statistics to understand and improve this website. Where personal data is processed, we rely on our legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. See Vercel’s Web Analytics privacy documentation for the measurement method and safeguards.
When you contact us
If you email us, we receive your address and the information you choose to send. We use it to answer your request under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where it concerns a contract, or Article 6(1)(f) for other enquiries. We keep correspondence only as long as needed to resolve the enquiry and meet applicable retention obligations. Please do not send passwords or other unnecessary sensitive information.
Your rights and choices
Where we process personal data about you, you may have rights to access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability and objection under the GDPR. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests for reasons relating to your situation. Contact flo@klicktgut.com to exercise your rights. We may need information to verify a request; we cannot identify you from anonymous aggregate reports.
You can also complain to a supervisory authority, including the Austrian Data Protection Authority. No automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects are made by us.
